The Chiropractic Wellness Center Financial Policy for Chiropractic Care Coverage

Effective January 1, 2008 payment is expected the day of service for non-covered items, co-pays, and special services not covered by insurance, unless otherwise arranged. Payment can be by check, cash, or credit card (Discover, MasterCard, or Visa).

Please understand that the Federal Healthcare Information Portability & Accountability Act, (HIPPA), has restricted your doctor's ability to verify patient information. Although The Chiropractic Wellness Center will make an effort to verbally verify patient benefits and will review your benefits with you per your insurance company, understand that The Chiropractic Wellness Center is not responsible for any inaccurate information that they may receive from your insurance company and that it is ultimately your responsibility to know and understand your chiropractic benefits.

If you have an insurance company that we are in network with, we will copy your card and have you pay the co-pay that is on your card. Claims will be filed weekly. Once we have heard back from your insurance company, we will send a monthly statement on any remaining balance. Please be aware that insurance companies often have different coverage for specialties like chiropractic and that the true coverage may not be stated on the card. We are happy to file claims for primary and secondary insurance carriers; however tertiary claims will have to be filed by the patient.

If you have an insurance company that we are not in network with, then you will be responsible for the co-pay at the time of service. Please be aware that there may be additional costs as a part of non-contractual obligations.

If we are not filing your claims with an insurance company, or you are filing claims on your own, please be advised that payment is due at the time of service.

Dr. Dalan accepts payment from Medicare. After you have met your deductible, Medicare will reimburse 80% of the "allowable" treatment charges. The only "allowable" treatment charge by a chiropractor is a "manual manipulation of the spine." The doctor may determine that certain physical therapy modalities or procedures, x-rays, vitamin supplements or orthopedic supports may be necessary to assist in the treatment of your condition. Medicare will not reimburse for any of these services.

Please understand that if you are unable to pay your bill in full, it is your responsibility to request payment arrangements.
